This build reminds me of the Johnny Cash song, "One piece at a time "

It will do, I did it already. But i wouldn't recommend you waste money on them. ( and time to swap them ) Just get a set of RPG tie rod and new boots from SDHQ , you don't have to worry for rest of your life.

I think You should be more concerned with your Electric Power Steering Rack , it is non - serviceable , mine truck is only 25k miles and the steering rack is ready not functioning correctly. Really don't want buy a new one bcs it is expensive and not reliable. Ford EPSR can't hold the abuse from serious off-road.

I'd like a set of heimed tie rods, but that's not in my budget at the moment; I'm just slowly piecing together a conversion as lightly used parts pop up for sale. So you did in fact put a set of Gen 1 raptor tie rods on a 2015+ f150?

Yes

They got exactly same thread , the only difference is The raptor one has a longer tie rod end.

NICE!! I need to do that exact same thing within the next 6 months or so. I'm working on the front end swap as much as I can with little time available but I'll very interested to see how your experience is with the bedside swap. I asked a couple of shops in the area if they'd do the work and they all declined, as they're only interested in OEM rebuild. I assured them that the rivets are all in the same spot but they have no interest in doing something that's not meant for a 2017 lariat.
