So far, I've installed Gen2 UCA, LCA, rod-ends, brake lines, and Gen1 front shocks (I have the Gen2 swaybar, links, and ABS/Speed sensors on the way). I was able to use the F150 sensors by disconnecting the grommet points and rerunning the cable but I ordered the Raptor ones to make it clean. I installed Raptor Gen2 +2 Deaver leafs in the rear, and mounted up some BFG A/T 315/70-17 to some Methods NV's. The Deavers made a huge improvement in the ride quality, along with the alignment. I scored an amazing deal on some Fox triple bypass for the rear, and they're getting rebuilt right now. Next up is the body work. I have the OEM Raptor Gen2 hood, fenders, grille, light trim, bumper, and associated parts ready to "Raptorize" the front end. The paint shop is working to match the paint now and I hope to have in all done in the next couple weeks. I plan to mount the OEM Raptor rear fender flares for now and search for a Gen2 bed from a salvage to paint and drop on if it's not outrageously priced. Final 2 steps on the suspension will be a bumpstop kit for the rear and ultimately change out the fronts to Fox aftermarket Gen1 shocks with the external reservoir.
2nd pic is before I put the Deavers in.
hey, so I'm sbout to jump into the same project. If I'm not mistaken the only parts I need to swap for my stock suspension include; Lower Control Arms, Upper control Arms gen 2, CV Axles & shocks gen 1, and outer tie rod ends gen 2, lastly extended brake lines? I just want to make sure before I go and order this stuff.
thanks!

Hello everyone!

first off, thank you everyone for being active on this thread with your builds.

i purchased a 2018 F150 2.7L STX 4x4 w/ locking diff. a couple months ago

Finally pulled the trigger and bought:
Baja Kits prerunner Kit (still waiting for kit)
King 3.0 Coilovers and 2.5 piggyback rears
Icon Compression 17x8.5 (still waiting for wheels)

planning on ordering:
Fiberwerx front fenders
35” or 37” BFG KM3 Tires
ADD front bumper

questions:
Would you guys recommend 35s or 37s?
- I sit in LA traffic for an hour going to and from work, but want to use my truck to start going outdoors more (camping, off-roading,...)

For the additional width from the Fiberwerx fenders, would I need to get an ADD bumper ment for a F-150 or for a Raptors, to compensate for the added width?

Is there anything you guys feel I should get not mentioned ?

I will be posting pictures of my build progress as I get all parts in and begin installing

I have a 17 and have the pre runner kit which I have not installed yet (Still waiting on kings) I currently have my truck leveled with 17" method on 35's. Personally, I think the 37's would look better especially once you install the fenders. I would just keep in mind your gears. I have 3.55's and there was a noticeable drop on mpg and imagine it would be worse on 37's. I don't daily my truck but if you do you may want to look into it. There are a few threads on here about re gearing and from what I've read, it's not cheap. Like $2K.

ya, not really committed to regearing just yet, I may just go with 35s and hope I don’t have a too big of a gap between fenders.

so I assume with the fiberglass fenders, is have to go with a ADD bumper for the Raptor correct?

I am running 37

Here is few issues I got

- clashing with the inner fender.
I removed the inner fender.
at the moment I am running without inner fender and all wires exposed above the tire. I live in a desert country with no rains / muds. So I am fine.

- Aluminum panel trimming

There is a big triangle piece of aluminum , you can open your hood and see it.
If you running 37, it will clash when you turn the steering. I trimmed it a little bit to avoid clashing.

But if you are going hardcore off-road. You need to trim more off because When the wheels are in full compression and Turning left/right at the same time, clash will occur.

Moreover, my rear suspension got loud squeak sound, it occurs every time when I cross the speed breaker.

Really not sure if it comes from King shock or leaf spring. I heard people moaning about how noisy the King shocks are.

I am planning to cage the truck end of this year, so I can put a fuel cell and pair of 37 wheel. it will add about 400 lbs. Hopefully the donkey kicks and noise can disappear.
Not much donkey kicking. What King's are you running? You may want to think about re-valving, would make a world of difference.

can anyone confirm if gen 1 raptor inner tie rod ends will fit a 2015 f150 when doing the conversion, I know they are not necessary to the conversion, but I need new ones anyways (100k miles) and just found a brand new set for 50$. So, I might as well replace them while Im doing everything else.
