Vette, I've had 3 Ridgelines, prior to my Odyssey, and they are really practical, easy to live with trucks. The biggest differences I see vs. my new F150 is size, of course....the supercrew is enormous inside. Not sure I can go back to a mid-size, after getting used to all the room in the Ford. I also prefer the "real" 4WD of the Ford, vs. the AWD (rear assist when needed) of the Honda. Winter road feel is quite a bit better with real 4WD, IMO. The Ford Ecoboost engines also have a huge power advantage, and despite that, and the size, gets as good or better milage then my old RL. I'm sure the new RL should see big improvements there, but likely not vastly better than the Ford Ecoboosts. Again, once you sample the torque & power, it's hard to go back. The ride & NV of the Ford is also superior to the old RL, again, I'm sure the new one will be greatly improved, and comparable to the Ford. The only thing I really miss from the RL is the dual action T/G....used that all the time. I thought the in-bed trunk was more of a PITA than anything. Hauled too much gravel, I guess.... If you can wait another year, the RL would be worth a look. If you can't, I wouldn't hesitate to go the F150 route. I think it's the best P/U on the road, all aspects considered, and probably will be for several more years. Again, just my experiences & opinions.

F150 impressed me + a killer deal. Who else has 170 degree suicides?

I had an '05 Silverado crew cab and traded it in 2012 on a new '13 Ram sport, loaded with every option I could get on it. I absolutely loved the Ram. I Have a 2yr old daughter who's child seat wouldn't fit in the quad cab Ram properly so I decided I needed a crew cab again. Had a fully loaded Z71 Silverado out for a test drive, and told the salesman that if I had to trade my Ram for this I would be sad!! Took an f150 out and decided right there that I was taking one home. I think they are fabulous trucks, hope it treats me as well as the Ram did!

I'd probably go with the 5.0. But hats a great review. Ford gives you so much more than the Tundra. I just wonder if I'll still love it in 10 years. I has GM's before this Ridgeline and after 24-30 months it just wasn't as nice as it was when new. The Honda is still nice inside and out after almost 10 years. That's why I won't go back to GM. And Ford makes me nervous about a similar build quality or lack thereof as it gets years and miles on it.

I think you sound like a suburban tie wearing kinda ride the train into DC to work 'Honda Truck' driving guy.... and that's fine...there is a different fit for all folks...I'm sure in ten yrs the Honda has improved too...don't sweat it...get the Honda and happy for another ten yrs.

I had 2008 and 2012 Ridgeline RTLs w/NAVI before my current 2015 F150 Lariat. Traded after buying a 21ft Triton bass boat. The Ridgeline was a dog towing. Front wheel drive and light Ridgeline weight was the problem, I believe. Comparatively, the Ridgeline isn't really a truck but more a Pilot with a bed.

Having said that, I've had more issues with the F150 in 4 months than with both Ridgelines over 7 years. But the Eco 3.5 power is addictive and overall upgrade in "truck qualities" keep me from regretting the move.

I traded in my '13 Tacoma for a '15 F150, XLT, 2wd, 5.0 V8, 302a, tow package, console, tailgate step. My Tacoma was a great "little" truck, and I really hesitated to get rid of it, but I love this F150. This is my first Ford truck. There is so much more room than the Tacoma. Great ride, more power. The fit and finish quality is awesome. I've only had it about a month, but I would highly recommend the F150's. Only downside is it's just a few inches too long (no one's ever said that about me ) to fit in the garage.

Minus the tie and don't work in DC. But otherwise... I am legitimately evaluating the F150. Everything I owned prior has been a GM product, including the Suburban which I only kept 20 months. And I have a lot of love for Ford not taking bailout money.

Why does one have to fit your imaginary profile to drive a f150? Welcome to America where we have fought hard to have the freedoms of choice. Just try to be more constructive in your future reply.

I too am a little too long in the tail. End sticks out about a foot out of the garage. The geniuses who built the house put in a 3 ft tire stop, if that wasn't there, it'd fit perfectly. Hate leaving it out every night, worry mostly about hail storms which aren't too common but when they do happen here, pretty bad. Thought about getting a cover for those storms I know are coming. But that's what ins is for too.
