Default 2015 Windshield Chips and Cracks

I have a 2015 Platinum. I already have 5 Glass chips and several major cracks. Am I just unlucky or is anyone else appear to have weak glass?

Soundscreen windshields are weaksauce. Every one of my F-150's with a SS windshield has developed a crack via a tiny pinhole of a chip in the black edge of the window.

Same here. Looks like complete junk. Mine isn't very clear either. Seems like it has little specs of glass in it that didn't melt.

My windshield was replaced at 980 miles. Foot long crack starting from the black edge.

Just had my first chip that developed into a crack within an hour. Looks like it started down in the black part by the windshield wipers as well. Other 2015 owners that I know have had several replacements. I guess these windshields are just poorly made.

I've had two little tiny rock strikes just this week that caused beginning cracks. I took my truck to a local glass repair shop and had them fixed. Cost $35 each.

About a month after I bought it I have this nice hockey style cracking from the bottom-center running up and outward right in front of my view. Thanks Obama

I had a foot long crack starting at the bottom seal of the winsheid going up the day after I got my truck. I thought I was seeing things that it was water running down from the rain. Anyways brought it back the next day. Ford replaced it but it took 2 weeks.
