2015 remote start issue.
First if I apologize if this has been covered I searched and couldn't find anything exactly like it. Anyway picked up a used 2015 xlt sport 2.7 EB with the 302a package last Saturday. So far I love the truck, good gas mileage, roomy, drives nice, overall great truck. Everything has been working like a charm until today, go to remote start, nothing and double horn.. Hmm odd ok, get in the truck start it up, check engine light, drive it, seems like no issue so I figure I'll use my SCT from my mustang to check it when I get home. Get home check it P0365 cam position sensor. Hmm weird, drove fine, no hesitation like I've seen in the past with this issue on other vehicles, so I clear the code and start it back up, and no CEL, decide if it comes back I'll go to the dealer with it. Headed to Lowe's this afternoon remote start no issues, jump in it turn the key, notice half way to Lowe's, CEL back on... WTF. Get home same routine same code. Being a troubleshooter by nature I clear it, start the car with the key 5-6 times no CEL. Start it with remote start boom CEL. Repeat routine for confirmation, same thing. Only when I remote start does it trigger the CEL. Anyone else seen this? Is it truly something I need to take it to the dealer to fix or is there something I can do here before wasting my time? Thanks in advance!
Update for all those curious... Went to the dealership this morning. Waited for 3 hours, was told "it was a disconnect issue between the CPS and the ECU, we had the reprogram the WHOLE TRUCK" Left and in less than 5 miles the light was on again... So they basically BSed me and lied to my face, cleared the CEL and sent me on my way. I guess I'll be going to another dealership to have this looked in to.
Fingers crossed, I called the head of the Service department, left a scathing voicemail, got a call back with about 100 apologies, they took my truck back in, replaced the offending Cam Position Sensor, and drove it 130 miles to ensure it was fixed. Back in and it drives better than the test drive.

And probably accurate.
