Default 2015 kind ranch climate control problems

Hi there I have a 2015 king ranch and when I have auto selected for climate control ac will work for awhile then cut out and won’t restart then is I manually click max air it will come on again have been haveing this problem for a few months now and it’s getting annoying , also if I just **** system off for a minute or 30 seconds then hit auto the air conditioning will come back on? It seems like it doesn’t know the temp and just shuts off when it’s not suppose to? Has anyone else have this problem with their climate control?

I'll make the 1st guess with the limited information. You're low on refrigerant.

Could be a temp sensor, hi or low pressure sensor. Failing expansion valve. Dirty/plugged evaporator or condenser. Sticky clutch on the compressor....

Wow that’s a lot where do I start🤣It works perfectly if I click max air and will never shut off and is ice cold so I think it’s some kinda sensors issue?

Yes, that doesn't make much sense. The system obviously works well if it maintains temp on Max. Not really sure what to tell you to check... you are most likely going to have to have a good AC man take a look at it or at the very least stop by and tell them what's going on to see if that rings any bells for them in knowing what's wrong.

It must be in the auto sense circuit.

And how do I start trouble shooting that? Anyone know where the inside air temperature sensor is that what I was thinking might be screwing up giving a false temp reading maybe?

Found the problem was told to take the battery terminals off and touch them together for 10 seconds while I was doing that I found on the positive sid did the battery another auxiliary wire ?coming off it that was loose so I tighted that wire and did the touching of the terminals let it sit for 10 minutes and problem solved after not working climate control all dam summer! Would still like to know what this auxiliary wire is for though??

See the nut behind the “+” what is that auxiliary wire for? By that was really loose
