Default 2015 Hologen to LED conversion - OEM

I don't think this has been started...but has anyone looked at, or know if, the OEM LED's will swap with the Halogens? Like MANY (me included) swapped the OEM halogens for the OEM HID's. Out of want came a wiring harness! I really wanted the LED's but didn't want some of the other features or to pay the extra $$$ for just the LED's. Right now, I love my new 15 BUT would be VERY interested in an OEM LED conversion. Oh yeah, I don't want to be the first to try it either. Is that cake and eat it too attitude?

I, too, would like to know this. I went with the 501 on the Lariat because all I wanted was the sound and the lights, but after listening to the sound system in the platinum I decided the 502 wasn't worth it. However...

I wish I had the lights...

Hopefully the lights will be available on lower trims in the coming years, like they did with the HIDs.

I suspect that to use the OEM LEDs you'll need the whole assembly. At replacement parts prices that might get you close to the total spend for the Lariat.

Very curious about this as well, would be open to a clean looking aftermarket solution as well. LED or HID housing.

I'm hoping it's as easy as shelling out some $$ for the OEM set-up and just plugging them in...or that a harness is developed. Tuxedoblack11, who is a forum member is VERY good with this stuff.

Both LED and HID Lamps require a Ballast (Transformer) Ford parts online shows two different lens assemblies for the HID & LED. Just from looking at the parts schematic I would say your looking at 2 Lenses, 4 LED Bulbs, and 2 Ballast. I don't know if the wiring harness and connectors are the same. I put a set of
HID's in a Toyota Sienna as replacements, they were $1059 Each.
If you can get aftermarket, make sure that they are DOT approved. If they are not, don't bother.

should have just got a Lariat. I wanted them and didn't care about extra costs because it would bother me not to have them. So I paid for a lariat and I have them
