2015+ Frozen Door Latch TSB/ Recall- UPDATED THREAD
#321
Thanks for the advice. I already mentioned the TSB to them, though the SA seemed to think there was a simple fix. Service is closed today, so I'll certainly make sure to have the conversation with them tomorrow.

So i took my door panel off today and I don't see anything broke or frozen. It looks like in my case the rods may be bent because right after the car wash in 20* weather. My door latch froze up and I used the key to force it to open. Now when I open the door from the inside handle, the door latch wont latch, I have to lock and unlock the door and then the door latch will work. Recall says they will replace bent rods as well. Back to the dealer I go.

I have had my 2016 to the dealer numerous times and still twice this weekend it wouldn't latch. Dos anyone know a phone number directly to Ford I should call? I see New York has a class action lawsuit started. Does anyone know of one in Ohio?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

There are three that I subscribe to ramforumz, 5thgenrams and dodgeramforum and there are probably more, I can't remember which one I read about them on. All new (and not so new ) vehicles have glitches but what counts is how soon they are fixed and how they are fixed. Letting a safety defect linger for 4 plus years and then trying to fix it with "...spray this - spray that ...." REALLY ? Is this JOE'S GARAGE or FORD MOTOR CO. ?? I am not brand loyal - I look at all makes/ models but no way I am buying a truck know there is a good chance the doors may not latch !

Notably....The company also issued a recall for roughly 222,000 model-year 2019 Ram 1500 pickups that are equipped with adjustable pedals. The company found that certain adjustments may cause the brake pedals to detach. OMG......now THAT could just be a safety issue..... !? Guess they spent more time testing their "new" tailgate than other things!?....AZPLAT

Apparently the Ram Trucks are also having their share of recall issues....(see link below for full story)

BTW... if you READ my posts you will find that I am "Productively Critical" of the Ford "fixes" and their complete lack of responsibility to really FIX this... some of us have been shouting out for over 4-5 years, if you look at the history!!!.......AZPLAT
