But you weren't supposed to leave till 4:30.. No wonder they didn't work if you woke them up early,, I wouldn't either!

Damn. I was really hopeful you guys with the latest fixes were going to be in the clear. Sorry to hear that's not the case. Definitely keep us posted on how the amsoil spray does.

Well, that sucks. And to any others who might be interested in the fate of their F150 Doors following the recall, or those looking to shell out 40K+, this is what I just received today from Ford Customer Relations.

"Per your request, in regards to your ’16 F-150 and repeated issue you are experiencing with the door latches, regrettably there has not been determined another repair path to address the concern. Once a determination is made on how to next attempt to repair this issue, customers will certainly be informed."

Don't be under the impression that this is fixable, until it works, permanently. Since a dealer cannot yet make 3 solid attempts to "repair", I fear you're Screw..d.

- Enjoy the weekend.

My 2016 is in for the 4th attempt to fix driver side door. If this fix doesn’t work, I’ll be filing my papers with the lemon law procedure!

Just got the truck back. All the work order said is "Resealed Doors". Don't have any other details because the tech was done for the day.Going to check back Monday.

Also i had a loaner 2018 F150 XTR --> 09/17 Manufacturer. The passenger side door was frozen right up to the time i dropped it off. But it did work using the handle.

You’ll never believe what happened when I got out of work & went to my truck in the parking lot, both left doors worked, but neither passenger side doors would, great job on the recall repair ford !!!

I’ve had zero issues with my 16 xlt. Even with -25c temps. Haven’t received my recal notice and am reluctant to get it done. Is there any issue if I don’t but need to later on.

While not that cold, I had no issues with my 2015 for the winter of 2015-2016 and 2016-2017. JAN 2018, issue started.

Let us know how that works @excell. My personal reservations on Amsoil is the multi-level marketing nature of their business. I give the benefit to vhob's testimonials, but it comes with this veil of a doubt on using a "member" code to order the product. Its most certainly the crusty northeasterner in me, but that just throws up all sorts of red flags.
