Default 2015 factory reverse camera while driving mod?

I've done a bunch of research and can't find anything on the new model F150.

I have a factory reverse camera and the factory small screen in dash radio. (nothing fancy) no navigation or anything. I think it's like a 4 and a half inch screen?

Anyway. I want to know if anyone has figured out how to mod the reverse camera to turn on with a switch while driving, regardless of speed.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I tow with a carrier and I have a hard shell topper so I'd like to see how my motorcycle is doing back there whenever I want.

Well on the previous gen, the camera is always on and there is a wire to the head unit that is switched to 12V (I think) when in reverse. So I think if you can find that wire and switch it to 12V while driving the system will think you are in reverse and switch the display.

Thanks for the reply. Can anyone confirm this is how it works on the late model f150? If so anyone know which wire it is?

I don't know if it's worth mentioning but I don't have the 360 cameras on my truck, just the factory reverse camera.

It is all can-bus controlled. There is no 12V wire to turn it to the back up cam.

For the 15? Because I wired my 2011 with an aftermarket head unit and the camera is on all the time. When I shift into reverse the HU screen and mirror show the backup camera. I can even look at it while driving.

Yes you can splice into the signal and play it on a separate display. The display in the center stack is controlled via can-bus, there is no simple solution to make it display the backup camera whenever you want.

What about that "lockpick" program/hardware that I keep seeing around these forums? I'm not sure what type of radio I have (sync, my touch, etc..) it's the one pictured a few posts up.

Yes it's all can bus contolled. I am currently trying to figures this out myself I plan on using the cruise off button once I figure out the camera.

I figured out the hvac controls this weekend.

I used an arduino with a can bus shield to light the led based on the temp

Wow!! That's awesome! Please keep us updated when you figure it out. I'd test myself but I have no idea what I'm doing.
