2015 F-150 towing 2016 Jayco 32BHDS
I am making this post related to not seeing many positive post about towing a large camper. Most of what I found online was bashing from non ford fans.
I just bought a new camper and I almost went with a 28 footer instead of the longer 32BHDS model but I am glad I decided to get the 32BHDS.
The Truck 2015 F-150 XLT with spec as follows
3.5 EcoBoost
3.55 electronic locking rear
4X4
SuperCrew
Factory installed hitch and brake controller.
The Trailer
2016 Jayco 32BHDS
WEIGHTS
Unloaded Vehicle Weight (lbs)7,600 (loaded I am guessing closer to 9,000 lbs)
Dry Hitch Weight (lbs) 910
Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (lbs) 9975
Cargo Carrying Capacity (lbs) 2375
MEASUREMENTS
Exterior Length 35' 8"
Exterior Width 96"
Exterior Height with A/C 132"
Interior Height 81"
Wheel Base 276 - 1/8"
I went about 12 miles and up some decent hills with a lot of stop and go and the trucks pulling power is not in question here. The trailer pulled great all 9000 lbs and 35 feet. There was about 9-10 mph winds that day and they did not seem to bother me while pulling. The trailer brakes gain I turned to 8.5 and the brakes alone were enough to slow the camper but not by them self. In fairness the trailer is 9000 lbs plus the truck(tested by squeezing the brake controller alone at about 35 mph). When stopping with the truck and the trailer the truck did well. I would rate it a B+. To put it in prospective I had a 2006 Trailblazer XLT that towed a 23ft 4000 lb trailer and I would rate that stopping power to be a B. The ride was comfortable even in the turns. I would also give handling A- where are my old setup was more like a C+ with the trailblazer with the smaller camper.
Overall I felt comfortable towing the Jayco 32BHDS. I am sure I am closer to the top range of what I feel comfortable towing with this truck and I am sure everyone's opinion will vary, but it was not an issue for me. Be safe out there guys. FYI picks to come soon.

9,000 pounds should be putting 1,350 pounds of tongue weight. Add the WDH, the tonneau cover you bought, passengers and you, and you gotta be over payload by quite a bit.

Depends on how he loads the trailer and how much a full trailer weights with 10 percent vs 15 percent tongue weight. If he throws everything in the trailer and levels out his weight accordingly. He should probably be fine. If he goes heavy on the nose of the trailer, then he can get himself into trouble.

I have a 29 Jayco that I towed with my 2014 157 Screw max tow. Only thing I did was I added Load E tires. Truck did just fine although I was and I still watch my payload. I traded up to a 2016 with the same options but have yet to tow. I read on here from some that the lighter truck makes it worse and other say there is no difference in towing.
