Wow, you got that one right. AK Steel in Ohio (formerly ARMCO) is the nation's largest steel supplier to the automotive industry, supplying 45% of the cold rolled steel for body panels & aluminum coated steel used for exhaust systems, etc. With the increasing shift to AL in the auto industry, AK's profit margins have been steadily declining since 2008. Analysts of the steel industry expect Ford's F150 AL use, coupled with GM's decision in a similar vein by 2018, to have a severe impact, so much so that investors are being forewarned.

Does anyone else feel that 2015 is going to be a short model year for the new F150? If the truck won't be out until December, my only concern/question is, when they will start producing 2016's? Ford is notorious for starting model years early. The new 2015 Super Duty's have out since last month and even my '07 Mustang GT was built in June '06.
I would just hate to order a '15 in December and in May or June they start producing the '16's.

Granted there is always something newer and better around the corner but I am hoping this delay in seeing 2015 models means that Ford will be putting something with a few more gears under this new model in hopes to best Dodge for most fuel efficient pickup and be the first to the magical 30mpg highway. Guess we will just have to wait and see, man this is killing me!

An official Dealer Product Guide (50 pages) for the 2015 Mustang was posted online today at www.mustang6g.com containing nearly everything you want to know including curb weights: HP/TQ numbers are still TBD as are EPA fuel mileage and crash test results. Can the 2015 F-150 product guide be far behind?

Do I presume that local dealers will have full specs & pricing in a month and trucks transported by mid November?
