Default 2015 ecoboost engine acceleration issues

Hello all, new to the forum. I am currently having issues with my 2015 ecoboost. Hesitation during acceleration, starts to sputter and then dash lights start flashing and the engine shakes. Hill decent light comes on as well as a collision avoidance message. I shut it off and it will restart and do the same thing. However, I left it sit for a few minutes, got out and locked the truck. When I returned it started and I had none of the same issues and the check engine light was off.

If I had to guess, I would have thought it was a low voltage condition from a bad ground or from a dirty MAF. Check your battery terminal connection, if there's noticeable corrosion replace the battery and get your charging system checked.

Thanks for the info. I’ll update what the dealer says. If the check engine light is no longer on can previous codes be accessed?

What he said. It smells like a bad ground/voltage issue for sure. Make sure your battery is good too and doesn't have a dead or dying cel.

I honestly don't know if the codes are stored or not after they've self-cleared. Do update on what the issue was, please.

Default Got a fault code of P2112

I used a friends OBD scanner with the torque lite app and found a fault code of P2112 - Throttle actuator control system- stuck closed. I’m replacing the throttle body tomorrow. I’ve read it’s a common problem with fords.

Replacing the throttle body has been successful in fixing the truck going into limp mode. I have been unable to recreate what was happening before. However, the truck is running very rough. Especially at idle.

These trucks don't have a MAF btw. They run off 3 different MAP sensors, one of which is a combined MAP/IAT.

Thanks, that's good to know. Most of my car care knowledge is likely a few years out of date, given all the new tech these trucks come with now.
