The warp has gotten a little worse since the warm wether is here. I asked the dealer what happens if it squeaks or rattles he did say they would have to fix that as well. Just wish there was a fix that didn't involved dash removed. This is my first brand new truck or new anything. It's been a long time coming to get it. I planed on driving it for a long time. I am one to keep my trucks until they can't be fixed. But I see this and now it bugs me. I just don't know what to do.

I guess I would read between the lines. Sounds like they are leveling with you and trying to stay professional at the same time. Some things are not fixable, some things are not worth fixing.

If it's an engineering issue...it won't be fixed until it's re engineered.

To make a long story short, I contacted my dealer and they suggested to switch the dashboard again after the warping starts on the second dashboard. That's sure like Christmas. Every summer we change the dashboard now.

I was at a couple of dealer lots today, and must say I am disappointed to see the dash warp still exist on 2016 trucks. I could only find 1 truck that had a dash that was close to being acceptable.

Shame on you Ford!

Seems like a XL / XLT issue - my "leather" wrapped Lariat dashboard looks just fine despite Texas heat

I have had my 16 for 6 months now. It's a 302 XLT built in Kansas City and I have no noticeable dash warp. Sorry to see you guys struggling with this

Give it time and heat.... If I got mine done again it would be dash#3. My dealer saw my second and we agreed we would wait for a fix or swap it out before my warranty ran out.
Hate to have to trade this one wanted my savings to buy my wife's next car cash

From what I saw today, Lariats were not immune from the dash warp.

Nope we have them in WI with warp... Not as many as the XL/XLT's but still way to many. I have been going through the lot on and off for the last year and it's sad how many there are.
My sales guy knows of the problem but still has to put on a face and sell them to take home a pay check. Dam sad of Ford to do this to us AND them.

Is the warping just on the very front smoother section by the windshield or the whole dash. If its only that thin piece maybe someone could design a rigid carbon fiber strip or some sort of attractive dash trim that will adhere to the full length of the inner dash where the problem exists. Might help the ones that aren't effected yet, and the ones that are maybe heat up before applying the strip. Just an Idea
