With the higher HP and torque, does anyone know if the torque comes in sooner then the current 5.0?

I haven't seen a comparison of the '14 versus the '15 5 liter, but being that's it's used in a truck, they aren't going to make it more peaky, it will just be the same curve, just higher peaks.

A quick Google search produced the below info...

2014 F-150 5.0L
360 @ 5500 rpm
380 @ 4250 rpm

2015 F-150 5.0L
385 @ 5750 rpm
387 @ 3850 rpm

Well... This is good news. Looks like the torque comes in at lower rpm.

Great news. On a related topic, I have never seen a company basically ignore an engine improvement like the 2015 5.0 I haven't seen any hype or marketing of it. All the drive event trucks seem to be turbo 6's. I understand the government CAFE pressure, but this seems interesting to me.

Strangely, one of many reasons I bought a 5.0...

They are phasing it out totally is my bet, stop marketing it this generation and then next gen stop offering it.
