A quick question on the Canadian ford site when I configured my truck to my specs: crew 4x4 xlt/302A xtr/sport/oxford white/moonroof. The roof shows up black on the white truck it looks good. But I can't seem to find any real pics of white xlt's with moonroof having black roof?

The whole roof is not black, it's just how it shows on the website render. On the U.S. website some model and configurations are missing mirrors.

I was looking at getting a white or silver one and though the black roof would look real nice. A buddy of mine had a local company put a gloss black wrap on his roof of his infinity, was planning on doing the same with my truck. But I went back to my old ways and took a black truck from stock.

You won't be disappointed. After two 3.5 EB, I love my 2.7. Gas mileage is excellent and power to spare.

I don't doubt it. Just assumed when I configured it the roof was black so I assumed roof would be black. Worse case I will wrap it as I really liked the look.

With the price of diesel over gas and very high maintenance costs on Ecodiesel the 2.7 Ford EB makes much more sense. It also has much better power.

I ordered a 2015 on March 16th from Blackstock in Orangeville Ontario and took delivery on April 17th. It was built on April 8th and arrived at the dealer on April 12th.

I was referring more to the truck in general but either way I'm sure you'll be happy. I love my 2.7 and couldn't be more satisfied. I was leaning heavy toward the 5.0 this time after having 2011 and 2013 3.5 EB but the 2.7 hasn't disappointed me. I'm sitting a 18.3 MPG for the lifetime which is around 3K miles. That is more city driving than highway with 3:73 gears and one size larger tires. Ford got it right with 2.7 if it holds up well in the long run.

The 2.7 is the only one I considered from ford. I followed it a bit from the initial announcement. I have driven a few 2012's and 13 f150. Something just didn't feel right comfort wise driving. So as stated earlier the ram ecodiesel was more and likely my choice. But then I actually drove the 2015 f150 couldnt believe how much they made the driving feel better. After that I was almost like who cares if I can get the ram ecodiesel cheaper I was willing to pay extra for the ford. But in the end got a great deal on the f150 a win, win. either way. But I do have to admit it is going to take a bit more to wow me to keep long term. The titan still has my interest but we will see if they can get mpg up enough to compete.

Thank goodness for forum's like this. Being first time ordering a new truck instead grabbing off the lot and Ford at that. But learning about cotus on here, got info from my dealer to track my build. All looked good at first. Ordered April 7, status now order processing. But I discovered my locking diff wasn't on there. I have contacted the dealer. But I'm glad I learned about cotus. Or I wouldn't have discovered until delivery.
