Default 2014 TPMS works in a 2015?

I'm looking to buy some take off Ford OEM rims. The set of rims that I am looking at is off a 2014 F150. Does anyone know if the tire pressure monitors will work with my 2015 F150?

Thanks

I don't believe they will work. When I gave my son a set of rims from my 2012 truck for his 2016, the sensors needed changing. Tire dealer told him they were changed for the 2015 model year.

Find a VIN # from a 14' F-150 with TPMS and enter it into ETIS. It should give you the frequency the sensors transmit on in comparison to a '15-'17.

I confirmed with the Ford dealership that they do not work when I bought my winter tires and rims from them in 2015. They run on different frequencies. The bonus about the 2015+ system is that the sensors automatically pair to the truck. No need to do anything special, just put the new wheels on and drive a bit.

Would this work the other way around? I have a 2014 and I bought a set of 2015 wheels. Would I be able to program my tire tpms?

The 14 is a Gen 12 and 15-20 is Gen 13 they have different TPMS systems
