Default 2 WD Front Struts On A 4 WD

I didn't get a response on the lowering thread so i would like to try here.
Has anyone Actually done the 2wd struts on a 4x4? I am very interested in this but I have seen threads where they say you net 1.5 inches and threads where they are adamant about it being only 1". I removed the rear block and it made some differance to the look but I would like to add the 2" drop shackles depending on the 2wd shock drop..

I have done this on 2016 4x4, used Bilstein 4160 shocks/struts, worked fine no problems, netted about 1 1/4-1 1/2" drop, I have removed rear blocks and used lowering shackles.

Bilstein 5100 2wd front shocks on my 2020 4wd...lowered about 1 inch. Bilstein 2wd shocks will not get you exactly as low as OEM 2wd front shocks. I also removed rear blocks, replaced rear shocks with 2wwd 5100s. Also, 5100 at lowest setting is the same height as 4600 shocks. There is a very good thread from last summer on that subject on the lowered forum by lxcoupe2. If you need help finding it let me know.

I would never find that. . I have removed the rear blocks. Would do the 2
" shackles if the factory 2wd front shocks will get it to or below even.

So, your 2016 is level or a slight rake?

Wait...are you effectively lowering your 4x4? If so, may I ask...why?

I did because I like the 2wd height better. It is noticeably easier for me to get in and out of, tailgate is lower, etc. The 4wd trucks also look too tall to me, compared to a 2wd. Nothing is substantially gained or lost, however, and the change can be had for the price of shocks and new u-bolts.

All of what he said, They are much higher than they used to be.. Who wants to see all that wheel well. For me They should be at a normal hieght with a off road option. The back is way to hiigh. It looks like it is on a jack.,. I just thought of this, complete 2wd struts springs and all. It has to be worth more.. I yes I do uderstand that some peop;e like to be a high as they can. Its all fine
