Default Lowered my 2018 4x4 with 2wd struts!!!

I had 2 1/2 leveling kit and 2” block in the rear with 295/60/20 that look awesome. But my kids started kindergarten and it was hard for them to get in and out in car rider line.

So I removed the 2 1/2 leveling kit and 2” blocks. Install 2wd struts , 2” drop shackles and added 295/50/20 general uhp . The truck now sits about 35 3/4 in front and 36 3/4 rear. It’s so much easier to get in and out for the kids. Drives and rides better also to me. The 2wd struts have about 1 1/2” drop.

Here is the shackle I got.

The truck has zero squeaks creaks or vibrationsnce of 2wd vs 4wd struts

Never mind just saw in your signature that they are removed. Do you remember the part number of the 2wd struts?

Very easy its aluminum so it cuts very easy. Used a cut off wheel and cut 2" x 6" area out of the support. It actually bends when you jack the rearend up into pry to cutting.

Did it look like the struts were the same? The only difference wastage amount of recess the spring perch had under it? Which allowed the spring to sit further down on the 2wd strut than 4wd.

Struts looked the same besides the spring perch.

I'm still liking this setup but like everyone says I wish it was lower now.

Rightttt!!! I hear you on that. I installed the 1.5” ground force springs from the kit onto my 2wd. They didn’t lower it at all compared to a stock height 2wd.... I’m assuming that’s because I had the bilstein 5100’s on there and it may have bottomed out the shock travel??? Anyway I ordered new 2wd stock height struts to put the ground force springs on. Hopefully lowering the front down to 35” or so, ground to fender.
