Default 2" Leveling Kit

Hello All,

I'm new to the group and looking for some information to help me go bigger (taller) with my tires. I rushed into getting 33x12.5 and later learned they are not a true 33".

I'm looking to go to a taller tire and am willing to trim / remove front crash bar. I do a decent amount of off-roading and am looking for no rubbing with articulation. With my current setup I have no rubbing issues.
I'm looking at 315/70r17 (34.4x12.4); 295/75r17 (34.4x11.6); 305/70r17 (33.8x12); 285/75r17 (33.8x11.2)
If anyone has similar setup with the tires listed above (or larger) please let me know:
What trimming/cutting you had to do??
and if you have any rubbing with articulation??

My current configuration is:
---leveled by fox 2.5 factory race series w/res (no DSC)
---Icon Delta Joint tubular UCA
---Wheel: Icon Rebound 17" +6mm Offset
---Tire: 33x12.5 R17

Thanks in advance for your input and help!

Have a great day!!

Sean

While you are waiting for someone to post , Customoffsets.com has a great wheel/tire menu where you can see what others have bought with pictures and info on cutting/trimming. Also check out you tube for American trucks as well.

Your truck looks great, no rubbing, I wouldn’t change anything until your current tires are worn out.

A 2x4 doesn’t measure 2”x4” and 33x12.5 doesn’t have to measure exactly 33” to tell your friends you’ve got 33’s on your truck. This is America...

I run 285/75R17 on my truck with a 2.5” leveling kit and 3” rear blocks. No rubbing during normal driving conditions. I didn’t do any trimming or crash bar modifications. If you’re serious about off-roading, I wouldn’t go past 33” with a leveling kit. You may load up the front suspension in ways that will cause rubbing or other issues with larger tires and no true lift kit. I would especially avoid altering the crash bar, as you’re at higher risk of a collision and that part keeps your legs from getting pancaked. Personally I think your truck looks great as is.

Ya, I made the decision to today that I'll end up with the same as you 285/75. That way I don't have to cut or remove the crash bars. Just trying to get as much height as I can. thanks for the help!!

I have a set of Method 0 offset wheels with 285/75r17 Toyo AT3's waiting to go on the truck. I have a 1.5" level. I think it will be close but I should clear. I can post some photos when I install them.
