Default 2" level with 33.5 rubbing issues?

I just put fox 2.0 coil overs on my 2016 fx4 4wd. At the same time put on 305/65/18 on 18x9 wheels with -6 offset. When backing up or at incline I get very close and sometimes rub against fender and plastic.

I thought that 2" level would clear 33.5 easy. Anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks
Mike

Happens to me as well. Only when reversing with wheels turned sharp. Mine rubs on front crash bar. I choose to live with it. However you could take a port-a-power and push the crash bars forward a hair.

Have you had it off road yet with any issues of it damaging fenders at all? That's my only concern if getting into some bumps if it would cause issue. I've only had it rub reversing but putting wheels to close to full lock there is barely a fingers worth of space there. Thanks for the reply!!

It's your offset. Even at 0 you would have been pushing it with that wide of a tire.

Maybe I misstated the offset. I've got the Lethal 18x9 6x135/5
Looking at the specs it has a positive 1 offset and a 5 bsm (dunno what that means).

Also, what were your coilovers set at? You could potentially be the same height or even lower if they're not set properly. I believe max height would be 2". Did you measure the difference of before and after?

The truck has definitely lost most of the rake since I haven't added blocks or AAL to back so I suspect it's at the default 2" lift in front. I think there is about a .5" rake right now.

I looked at the crash bars on my truck it seems that if I was to unbolt and swap sides I could gain at least a 1/2" of clearance.(just a wild guess need to try) Now if my fog light wires hit I could put body washers between the bumper and the frame bracket studs... I could gain 1/16 or 1/8th inch and the bumper would look fine. I did this on MY 08 F150 pictured.

Front crash bar DR side looking from the ground up... see the curve. What would happen if I switched sides with the bar?

Pretty well known issue. Link below explains a lot. Wide tires + low or negative offset = rubbing. Either get narrower tires, higher positive offset wheels, or cut or stretch crash bars.

I'm running 305's with a 2" level but I have +30 offset wheels.

I have read about the bar it looks like I need to do a 6" lift to avoid the crash bar issue or remove the bars so I can run a level kit with 33x12.5 with the rim I want. I will just need to play around with my truck along with paying attention to the thread. I am willing to have something fabricated if possible. So I am willing to go through the trouble of removing the bars and not cutting them.
