around 30,500 miles never reset trip "B" and says 18.2. That's all kinds of driving, towing, off road and around town.

In my 2015 RCSB, 1st generation 6-speed, curb weight 4190, shortest and near light-as-possible full-size pickup with a GTDI engine, 17" aluminum wheels, all-season, 3.31 gearing; the highest ever shown on a trip reset round trip hwy trip in my truck was/is 29.5 but that is a couple higher than what I'd see on average cruising at 65 mph (round trip). However, my theory regarding the trip meter calculation is that the higher the computer reading, the higher the error, and a tank fill showing 27 will likely hand calculate out to at or about 25.2 (-1.8), whereas a showing at or about 25 will likely hand calculate more like 23.7 (-1.3). Therefore, since I've measured only tank-to-tank for three years and 40K, my estimation is that my record round-trip highway mpg is at or about 27.3 at 65 mph; and my record low is somewhere around 24 with wind being the biggest variability factor; air temperature being a very minor factor. My life time average is 24.1 (tank-to-tank hand calculations); very conservative driving; mostly rural commutes. And again, this is the near lightest and smallest 1st generation 2.7L one can buy. The 2018 actually starts 2 pounds lighter than the starting weight for a 2.7L powered 2015 F150, as Ford dropped the starting weight in 2016 by around 30 pounds likely using more aluminum, but gained back 28 pounds when they mated to the ten speed. They also no longer offer a 2.7L with 3.31 rear axle ratio but have added 1 mpg to the city estimate with 25 more ft-lb torque and four more forward gears, 3.55 standard gearing, and at or about 28 more pounds of curb weight all else being equal.

Averaging 19.2 in cold winter weather over last 2,800 miles (Tripmeter B). Mostly highway driving with periodic 4wd engaged on the snowier days.

Averaging 16.5-17 so far this winter in city driving, temps mostly between -20 and 30F. Maybe 50/50 4x4 use lately taking it down closer to 16. Not quite as good as I hoped but still around 4 MPG better than my old 5.4 mustered in similar conditions.

Haven't had many road trips. I have managed 24, again in the winter, when going under 60 MPH. At 75 MPH interstate speeds it plummets to around 18, which has been a disappointment. It is rated better than our minivan so I was hoping it would get fairly close but that has not been the case. We'll see what happens when the weather warms up.

Still happy with the engine overall, just not sure I'd consider economy as a factor when buying. I have less than 3000 miles so far.

I just traded in my 2016 XLT 4x4 Supercab 2.7L with 70,000 miles on it. I did the same, never reset trip B. My average, from day one, was 21.8 mpg. I drive on average 90 miles a day, mostly freeway. My 2019 Lariat 4x4 Supercrew 2.7L only has 250 miles on it, hope it gets close to what my 2016 did.

Looks like the new 2.7TT isn't getting a lot more MPG's than the old 3.5TT.

I have 30K on mine and this winter which has been really cold and snowy I’m getting 20.4. I drive 28 miles each way to work and have had to use 4WD quite a bit with all the snow! If it’s real cold I start it once at about 3 PM with my Ford Pass app just to make myself feel better while I’m in my cold UPS truck! I’m very happy with my 2.7! Last summer on a 2,900 mile vacation drive I averaged 22.4 and that was driving 70 to 80 mph on the interstates!
