added another fill up to fulley. little less this time around. had pretty crappy weather though, and the roads are still snow packed. coming to complete spots i would get the tires to slip some. i think the low end torque and 700 lbs savings the back end kicks out easier. i had that happen quite a few times, not on purpose either. i need up using 4x4 a few times in town because it was slick at stop lights. it was easier.

Hey quick question if you don't mind,
How do you think your mpg would be caring around 1500lbs in your truck? Does any extra weight pull your mpg way down?
Thanks I appreciate your time

matt2636 I think I found you on Fuelly. I'm on there too, I think I'm under the same user name. I deleted the 3.5EB w/ 3.31 numbers I had on there (16.8) and added in my first fill up for the 5.0L w/3.55 (17.1- same driving)- interesting.

So what are you guys averaging for mileage with the 2.7? Are you getting close to the 20 mpg average city/hwy?

Back in the first few pages of this thread, before it got convoluted with...stuff...I think the OP was getting 23ish fairly easily in crap weather.

I had a rental 2.7EB while mine was being worked on and I got 25.8 on a 30 mile highway rip. Reset the trip before I left the dealership, not on the highway. After 3 days of regular driving the overall average from that same trip reset was 21 I think. Disclaimer on mine is that it was a 2 wheel drive base XLT.

considering the conditions we are havning im getting as advertised and a little better. I did a highway trip doing mostly 70 with 40% of it at 55 and 60 and averaged 24. I believe I posted those results on here. it was a 50 min dirve. rolling steady hills winds at 15ish if I remember correctly.
