Default 2.7 hesitation while accelerating...

Hi all,

On Sunday I was coming back from Crystal River, FL (doing some scalloping) and it was raining pretty good. I started accelerating out of a toll booth and at about 50 MPH the truck started vibrating/hesitating. I thought we blew another tire on the trailer (which happened on the way up) but didn't see anything in the mirrors. I glanced down at the dash and saw the check engine light flashing.
After seeing the light the shudder/vibration felt like a miss in the engine. I let off the throttle, waited about 5 seconds, and then floored it. The light went off and the truck took off like normal. No more issues after that.

What do you think happened? I haven't had any issues in 3600 miles to this point. Could this be similar to the issues some 3.5 EB's have had in the past?

would stink if it is, but the solution is rather simple.

Sounds like you sucked some water in.

Like blackknight said you could have sucked some water in. You should probably run a can of seafoam through the intake and also mix some in your fuel. Then just drive it like normal to see if it happens again. Also get the codes tested or do it yourself because it should store it in the memory.
