Default 2.7 Eco Baxter spin on conversion

Just wondering if anyone researched the 2.7 not having anti drain back valve, and dry starts. Im looking at the Baxter Performance oil filter adapter with anti drainback and conversion to spin on filter. Any input? Thanks

What makes you think the 2.7 needs an "anti-drainback valve"?

Is my observation if I drain the oil until it stops dripping, then open the oil filter at least 1/2 quart comes out of somewhere. I conclude Ford knows what they are doing and somehow holds oil for *** repetitive start/stops.

Besides, "anti-drainback valves" don't really do anything but prevent backflush of the oil filter due to the shockwave of oil pump suddenly stopping. 15 minutes later an inverted filter will be dry. 5 minutes on my Subaru.

A very expensive solution to something that hasn't been an issue on any motors I've had with cartridge filters.

Not understanding the need here.

A seriously expensive and inconvenient solution to a non-existent problem.

Completely unnecessary and makes you used a more expensive filter. Or they were up until last year

Cartridge filter system is actually better than spin on. O ring install aside

While it costs too much, it seems like it takes a less expensive filter. Look like a FL820S would fit. Those are pretty cheap.
