2.7 Catch cans
Anyone been able to find, or make their own catch cans yet? I have yet to see them for sale and was wanting to get one ASAP as I heard they are best on these ecoboosts and help prolong the life on the engine. If you guys made your own, can you post up part numbers/instructions etc. Thanks.
There are to very lengthy threads regarding the 2015 catch can and the RX Catch Can, haven't seen any diys but the 2 companies in these threads are both very good quality. But with the 2.7 you will not be adding one because it's boosted, more to do with the Direct Injection/ closed system EPA design requirements.
I'm also looking for a catch can for my 2.7l engine. I know RX has one that works on the 2015 3.5l and 2.7l engines, but their kit will probably cause a Check Engine Light:

On the other hand UPR has dual valve system that "has been developed to work with the factory electronics and the parameters that the EPS / electronic pressure sensor requires.", but the UPR is only available for the 3.5l and says nothing about the 2.7l engine:

I'd like to buy one like the UPR system that prevents a CEL, but none are available that I know of.

What makes you think our kits throw codes? Do you think we sell our kits for $349 and $389 and expect our customers to drive around with check engine lights? HYSTERICAL.
Why would you make a comment like that?
If anyone has any questions about the RX system please call me. Anyone throwing codes with our system has installed it incorrectly.

We sell kits every day for the 2.7 & 3.5, as long as they're hooked up correctly... no check engine lights.

Here is the quote from Adrian@MAK Performance, he said it was a quote directly from you guys...
Quote from RX Hope this helps:
The crankcase pressure/flow sensor that is in the OEM cleanside hose is transferred to the billet cleanside separator hose so it functions the same as stock. Due to the corrected evacuation and flow after installing the RX system some may see a CEL light triggered. It is only the flow being outside the factory parameters, but it is harmless. The rest is the same as far as installation from the 2011-2015. Just make SURE the passenger side barb is added to the INLET tube that comes from the main air box/filter. The first video showed it put in the boost side, that is what the issue was with the first video, and the reason it was taken down. The only other difference is the can mounts in the engine compartment now as the grill no longer opens w/the hood.
