Default 1st Tire rep

My 2018 Lariat FX4 came with Goodyear 275/55R20 tires and it’s time for replacement. I’m leaning towards Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 tires that are available at Sam’s Club. Anyone else run them? If not, what are you running that rides smooth but are good durable tires?

KO2s currently. They are super quiet but there when you need them.

I’ve also had Pirelli All Terrains but sidewalls on those cracked in under 30k miles.

It's an all-terrain tire. If all-terrains is something you want, they're an ok tire, but I'm not a fan of them. They're great the first 10-15k miles, but they stopped being effective in the rain after that. There's better all-terrains out there. You'll lose some fuel mileage running these.

The Michelin Defender is more of a highway tire. Can't go wrong with most of michelin's tires. I know a few people that run them without complaints.

Yes. BF Goodrich All-Terrain.

It’s all about what you do with your truck.

Continetial makes a really good all terrain but favors the road a bit with the tread pattern. Great traction and super quiet. Terraincontact.

I usually opt for a tire that does great on the highway but has a bit beefier tread in case of snow/ basic off road use. It is a truck, after all.

Id want to know how you use your truck and what you want out of your tire?

Do you want to get stuck if you have to pull of in damp grass, you looking for highway only, want a quiet ride on your weekly trip to the grocery store and social security office, and so forth.

I love Falken Wildpeaks, they now have a 60k warranty (i think), they are quiet, good road manners, 3 peak rated, and will handle any terrain...not sure you could ask for more

Pretty sure that's my next tire choice, along with dropping back to stock height 32" tires from 33s (technically 32.8"). I'm 7 years in on a set of Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws. They have easily handled the offroad conditions I have thrown at them, but reality is I don't absolutely need the more aggressive tread. I lost 1.5 mpg when I switched to them and hopefully will regain that with the stock height Michelins.

My experience with BFG KOs was pretty disappointing, after wanting a set for many years. Wet traction was bad.
