4. Amazing what you don't get with a $50,000 (sticker price) vehicle. No lighted vanity mirrors (settle down, they are for the wife), no integrated garage door openers, no dual-zone heating and no 8 inch display in the instrument cluster even though the internet build said it came with one. Ever buy something new and focus on what it does not have rather than what it does?
Absolutely gorgeous truck. Those tires really look great on it.
Re: #4, I'm on my 4th XLT since 2010, and although the XLTs lack the creature features, many of them I don't think I would even use. Which is probably why I keep purchasing that specific trim package.
Example: my 2016 XLT 302a w/sport package has that huge moonroof. I never had one on a truck before, and probably won't ever use it. I still think with the XLT trim package, one gets a lot of bang for the buck, especially with regard to the trucks' capabilities.
The Mrs. has all of those creature features in her vehicles, and she does use them. But we're just different
Enjoy your new rig!

Thanks for the great post Sevrith, I'm glad you are crunching the numbers because that is defineatly not my bag. I would have loved to purchase a Lariat with the little extras but I'm not made of money and at some point enough is enough.
I wrote Ford a letter asking how they can justify selling expensive vehicles that lack simple extras that their competitors offer as standard options but I just got a form letter back thanking me for buying one of their products. I guess the simple fact I bought the truck knowing it did not have those options justifies their pricing.
I actually like the Sync2 if only for the wallpaper change option. I don't have navigation to deal with so the delay does not bother me that much. I personally think the Sync3 while obviously being superior in every way looks a bit too cartoonish.
