Default 1st Impression

After 4 months of waiting, I picked up my new truck last night and my first impression is WOW!! I've driven a 2005 Expedition with the 5.4L for the last 10 years and while it towed fine, it was about as fast as a turtle. This new truck is lightning quick. For those who are waiting and wondering:
-The 3.5 Ecoboost sounds great!
-The roof seams were perfect
-NO rust on the 3.55 rear end
-The doors are aligned perfectly, although I will say there is very little tolerance. It would not take much for a rub to occur. And the cab is so air tight you really have to shut the doors.
- Being short, the side steps are great
-The tail gate works fine
-Don't think I'm going to like the doors not unlocking when you put it in park. (had to open the door back up to let the kids out this morning at school)
-The lane keeping assist works great
-And the 360 degree cameras are worth every penny just for the cool factor (tight fit in my garage)
-The larger tow mirrors are BIG. Going to take some getting used to.

Overall, sure seems like Ford hit a homerun with the changes. I know there have been some issues discussed on this board, but it's still a great truck!

Congrats!

I too am a dentist (assuming), and I got my Platinum last week and love it. These are great trucks. I know many are having problems, but mine had been great so far...

Not quite sure which number you are looking for. The Occupants and cargo is 1535 lbs and the GVWR is 7000Lbs. Let me know if you are looking for a different #.

Congrats on the beautiful truck!

Regarding the door locks, you should be able to change door lock settings (auto lock/unlock) within the vehicle information system (gauge cluster screen). Located under settings or advance settings/vehicle or vehicle settings/locks. Don't quote me on that path, but it should be something very similar.

When all else fails, check out the manual. Loads of information.

Best of luck.

The only settings are turning autolock on/off, autounlock on/of, or by choosing if the REMOTE opens just the driver's door or all four. You can't choose "how many doors when going into park".
