I think most would say the 10 speed as it just has way more range. The harder part is there are some noises but most are on the 5.0, I believe. Ford definitely has lots of dollars and resources committed to the 10 speed, the initial vehicles have sometimes had issues. The 6 speed is mostly bullet proof, so hard choice. 10 speed definitely will provide the gear range hunting isn't a problem you just lock out gears and use tow mode in both transmissions.
You won't see a difference between the two. The gear ratios for the 10 speed and 3.31 will be very similar to a 6 speed with 3.73.
