Default 110V Outlet

Has anyone used the 110V outlets yet? If so...for what?... Any overload issues?

In my 2013 F150 I worked from the cab as my wife drove us on day long trips. I used the 110 to power my laptop, phone, and WiFi hotspot. I would imagine the 2015s are even better with two 110 outlets in the truck.

400W output, mostly for electronics.

Most devices will have an area on the back/bottom where it will say the power usage- sometimes it will be in amps though. Kinda near the UL information.

The truck was probably thinking "Here I am...a finely tuned automotive engineering marvel and I'm reduced to keeping baked beans warm? I ain't having none of this! Where's the Skillsaws?! The Jumper Boxes? The old dusty work light?!"

Based on the formula, Amp = Watt/Volt, plugging 110V device in a 400 watt rated receptacle will only allow up to 3.6 amp draw. Anything over 4 amps and it probably will trip. Still, better than last years model of about 1 amp max draw.

The inverter could probably take a 8-10 amp spike or surge at start. Example would be using a blender plugged into the outlets.

So, "Margaritaville" en route, is realistic? Doe's Ford sell a Blender bracket?
