I just purchased a truck with some pinstriping, and it need s to go ASAP. I have the rubber eraser wheel on the way but I'm curious what I will need to do after I get the vinyl off? I have been told to use a polishing compound and then hit it with a wax. Looking for any advice from someone who has done this type of job. Thanks.
Sorry to hijack. Long time lurker, first post. To begin, even by only lurking. I have found a ton of valuable info here.
My 13 F150 got T-Boned by a driver w/no license or insurance.A whole different story. Rather than pay My 500$ deductible and watch my rate go up, I opted to replace the damaged doors on my own.
Doors on ebay, etc. ran 600$~ a piece or better (plus either shipping or me picking up). I found the pair for 400$ in great shape locally, same color but no pinstripe. The stripe below the "window curve" (appx 1") on the passenger door I cannot find the preformed stripe kit.
Any help appreciated. reference pic attached (random pic from ebay)..
Thanks. example
