Default Paint is very very fragile

Truck is in SIG. Anyone else find the paint is chipping very easily. I have 3300kms on truck and 20-30 decent rock chips already. Only hwy drive for 1000 km and city the rest never off road. Not only are the chips on hood and front end but doors and under mirrors etc.

Haha hi again. I totally agree that vehicles get chips but it's horrible how many I have already. Have people had good or bad luck with the 3m style paint film?

Can't help without pics. I have 63k miles on my 2010 truck, and I have about 10 rock chips. I drive 50 miles round trip a day, 95% highway. So, I guess no, I haven't found the paint is fragile

I've found that my Ruby paint chips easily with normal driving. 5000 miles and I've noted at least 5 small chips.

What color is your truck? Wonder if color has anything to do with it? A lot harder to notice them on say a white or silver truck than darker colors.

It's blue jeans metallic with the two tone Adobe accent on the fenders and bumpers rockers

Color has nothing to do with it. Reason I asked for pics, sometimes vehicles can be painted multiple times at the factory. Sometimes one or 2 panels sometimes the whole vehicle. Thicker the paint, more prone to chips

I worked in an automotive plant all through college and my dad ran a GM plant for 40 years. They DO NOT paint vehicles several times at the factory. One time only.
All auto/truck paint is prone to chips depending on where you drive.
