Default whistle

I have a very low whistle when coasting along or barely giving it any throttle. It does this in the driveway in neutral. It goes away after 2k rpms and stop under 1k rpms. It doesn't do this when it is in park or at a full stop. It also stops after 60 mph and I had the tensor replaced and this didnt stop the whistle. If anyone has any ideas that would be great.

Default Whistle

Don't know if it's your issue or not but my T-Bird will whistle just off idle through about 25 - 30 mph if I have a Fram air filter in it. Apparently does not seal quite right in the airbox or something. Put in a Motorcraft air filter and whistle went away.

Good luck on tracking down your issue.

I am hearing a similar whistle on mine, only when I'm cruising around 60, barely on the gas, doesn't do it any other time. I've had CAI on for a couple months now with no whistle. I did just put a new belt on last week and that is when it started, not exactly sure how a belt would cause that. But it has been a bit chilly up here in MN the last few mornings so I thought maybe i've never heard it before was because I haven't had the CAI in temps this low yet.
Who knows, not really annoying, just kind of want to know what it is...

I have done some more looking around and found that it can be a few things but most of the time if it doesnt go away after the engine heats up its the alternator.
