Default v10 magnum

Hey guys, pardon my french but would a dodge v10 magnum be able to fit in my 94' f150 ? I'm curious because going from my 302 to a 488 seems like a rather large increase in size.

I know the labor factor would be extremely high but that's something that isn't an issue.

And please, I'm not looking to get bashed just looking for some answers.

thanks

I'm sure that with time, money, and determination, you could put one in the bed, too. Basically with the right resources, anything can be done. Will this retrofit be worthwhile, not really. The V10 that came in the Ram's back in the early days would be your best bet but they were not that great of an engine and were prone to oil leaks and head gasket failure. There's a reason you don't see too many of them on the road anymore.

With 488ci, 300hp and 450lb/ft in that V10, you might as well try to fit a Ford 460 from a 94-97 F250. Sure the hp/tq numbers are less (245/395), but its more than you have now and the swap might not be anywhere near as difficult.

Gotcha, I'm asking cause there's a 2500 rotting away on the side of the road and I figured I could help myself before the city tows it away.

Money is more of an issue than anything else. (when isn't it)

I've got all the tools and equipment available for the swap at my disposal which is nice.

The part that worries me is the transmission

But if you're saying to stay away then I guess I should.

I just get a little ahead of myself sometimes

youd need a new flywheel to hook up to your tranny unless you use the v10s tranny. the computer...motor mounts..the list goes on and on and on, etc
