I have a miss fire when my truck sits for a couple days or more. It will miss fire for awhile then the miss fire goes away and if I drive it daily it does not come back until it sits again. I have had it on a diagnostic machine and the coils and such check out fine. There is no check engine light on. A guy I know that is a mechanic told me it sounds like a cam actuator. He said I should change that and a screen that could be keeping oil from getting to the cam phazer. Does anyone know if this sounds correct? It is a 2001 5.4 liter engine.
