ok let me step back here a sec. I may have misinturpreded the attitude that you had in that last post. I understand that i may not have full knowledge on these engine and thats all i'm looking for. I apologize for throughing mud back and forth. but as service members lets just try to stay on the same side. I'am saying that you may come across alittle harsh the way you post. or maybe I just got butthurt with the way you said it. but to hell with it, I will take any ideas you have.

PI engine cams are all the same. the manifold for the mustang will not net a gain in a truck.

san diego

what are your current mods...

my first would be cat back, intake, tuner, shorties/long tubes depending, then gears all help fuel except for gears but gears give the biggest rush in you seat feeling

The Mustang intake has shorter runners for more top end power. The trucks longer runners are for more torque. If the cams are the same why are the part #s different?

no ****, I already know what the runners on the manifolds look like, Ive taken enough 4.6L engines apart to know. The 99-00 Mustang GT cams were windsors because the heads were windsors. 01+ were Romeos. The Windsor cams utilized a press-on cam sprocket whereas the the Romeos utilized a bolt-on cam sprocket. Starting with the 2001 model year, mustang engines were all romeo because of the fleet wide usage of the Romeo block and Romeo PI heads.

PN does not indicate whether or not grinds are more aggressive, thats like saying the Lightning got Blower cams when it didnt.
