Total cost is about $7.00

I used 3 inch corrogated pipe for mine, that way it was more flexible and easier to work with. Also, it slips right through the hole in the fender a lot easier than trying to force pvc pipe through

WIX, AFE Pro Dry, Motorcraft, Amsoil synthetic are all good flowing and filtering units. Stay away from the oiled types, poorer filtration and more hassle without gaining anything.

The WIX and Motorcraft are both "regular" paper air filters. The WIX 46418 is around $17, which should be at many local parts stores. Motorcraft FA-1632 you can get at the dealer or online for around $25. With the aFe and AMSOIL you're looking at more of a $60 filter, but they are reusable.

The Amsoil and aFe filters are a dry nano fiber. The small synthetic fibers are woven and trap dirt. No oil is needed to help with filtration. Since the fibers don't degrade like paper they can be tapped, vacuumed, or washed clean and when dry can be reinstalled. No messing with oil and they still filter better.
