Default Gotts mod???

My GF has a completly stock 1998 f150 extended cab. I want to put a new intake on her truck. Im new to this forum, but have been active in other car forums for a few years now. I have seen a few references to the Gotts mod, but no one has explained what it is. i knows it an air intake mod, but no explanation to how to do it. ive been using the search for awhile now, cant find any info on it. Can someone plaease explain to me what it is, and how i can do it? I am all about the DIY mods. Thanks!

FYI If you type in Gotts, Airbox, airbox mod or intake mod you will find a very detailed thread on here how to do it.

the other way to mod your intake without cutting it up is to take the snorkel off the end of the air box. Then cut a 3" pvc pipe to a 4.5" lenght. Grind the end down till it fits into the hole in the fender well. Insert pvc pipe and connect it to the airbox using a 3" to 3" rubber grommet. You can find these at hardware stores. Total cost is about $7.00
