I like motorcraft filters and Castrol Syntec 10-40 in engines with over 100K

Jmfalcon, if there is concern about about leakage of synthetic due to it being 'runnier', wouldn't you be able to bump up to a higher viscosity to avoid leakage?

Of course, if that's what you choose to do. I prefer fixing leaks on newer vehicles, and on vehicles of little value, I prefer a sealing additive product. Just passing on information.
