Diesel F150
This is from autoblog, which is saying that Ford F150 might be getting a diesel engine. It would be based off one of Range Rovers diesel engines.

I would buy one in a heartbeat and park it next to my Cummins!. I will never own a full size truck that isn't diesel to do the real work. I'm glad I now have two full sizers at my disposal, my 04 Ram HO and now my new F150. I've pretty much been diehard Ford my whole life, but getting this new F150 kind of has my eyebrows rising. Could this be why Ford is now the #4 Automaker???????????

I'd like to see it. When it happens I most likely will be getting one. This was just posted on another forum. http://media.ford.com/newsroom/featu...?release=24628

Dodge and GM already use the Bosch Common Rail (28K PSI) injection system. All my torque comes on at 1400 RPM, not the 2100 Ford does. Right off the line I got power to the ground and it stays through out the power band. Doesn't fall off fast like the rest. You can get a Cummins, or a Cat i a Ford SD, but only starting with the F650. Stock, mine is rated at 305 HP and 555 Lbs. Tq.
If you want a diesel truck, full size, I would buy one now while you can because the 07 models will have the DPF and can only run on ULSD..... Fuel additives will be a no no!! 07 and back, you can run just about any kind of fuel. I do believe the 07 Dodges are now approved for B20 Bio. Early ones were ok for B5, but many are running B 20, B50 and B100 without problems. Jan 2007 is when the new Emission regs took effect for diesel fuel to have 5PPM of Sulphur, next round comes again in 20010, this is when we will see and have tons of diesel power options in North American vehicles.

It seems that way, but before you know it, it will be here. I would suspect to start seeing V6 diesels in 1/2 ton trucks. Funny thing is, the V6 will run circles around the V6/V8 gas counterparts..
