I would make ford credit me the money already spent. Including the new part. If they want to install the old one back on thats fine apparently that didnt fix it. They will prolly give you a story of well it was bad thats just part of the problem. That might be true. Make them prove to you that part is bad if thats the case. There is a test for damn near every part on your truck. Either a resistance test or a voltage test or something to tell them "This is a bad part" My tech at my shop will not replace a part unless they can prove its bad. That way the customer can never say we replaced something that did not need replacing. It has upset a few customers that have an intermittent problem. We might know what commonly causes a problem but unless we can prove it we are not willing to risk the customers money or our reputation on it.

im going to talk to them tomorrow when i figure out what the real problem is. i told the guy today that i shouldnt have to pay for a part that didnt need replaced and he said he will work with me tomorrow on it. which probably means that, like you said, oh it was part of the problem.

they did the diag and came up with a broken wire, they were going to charge me for ANOTHER diag plus labor for that which came to 203, i complained and they just threw that bill out so it cost me just the 173 from the day before.

They are all on one fuse. Look in both fuse panels.
