Default Zombie Guard

Really bored today! Been thinking about building a square tube brush guard and then an idea hit me. I've got allot of t-posts laying around and thought about building a brush guard out of them. I love the "Teeth" on the t-posts and I think it'll give a tough look to my little 2wd. I nabbed a piece that I had painted black and bed lined that went on my atv. I've been stuck in the dry lake bed one too many times and I drive this piece of t-post into the ground and winch off of it. I'm going to leave the bumper as is and want to mount the brush guard on top of the bumper. My idea is to basically surround the headlights, and follow the lines of the grill including uprights and cross beams. I think it would be a simple, tough looking design using the t-posts following the curves of the front end and spaced about 3" off the front of the truck. Don't think a tube bender would bend the t-posts, so it would take a torch and jig to make the bends and then weld it all up. Cheap project that I might be able to get done in short order if I can get access to a torch and build a jig for the bends.

Sweet idea, I been wanting to build just a front bull bar out of square tubing, start under the bumper and come up just above it that way when I slam into the stupid woman on the cell phone who pulls out in front of me when I'm doing 40 I won't have as much body damage if built right.

Post some pictures of your progress or ideas, I would love to see what you have in mind.

I think you have a good idea but I wouldn't use t posts it will look like you ran over a fence and it stuck to the front of your truck imho.

Wow! Old post. I forgot about this one. I've since built a "Zombie" guard but have yet to get my mounting brackets completed. My 15-22 is also my weapon of choice. Just an all around fun rifle and also the most reliable. 22 I've ever owned.
Edit...I see now on a larger screen that the rifle pictured is not a 15-22. My bad. Guess my eyes are getting old. My opinion of my Zombie gun still stands. Lol
