That wire is for the ABS/speedometer sensor. It senses teeth in the rear to calculate vehicle speed.

Since we're talking about the speedometer sensors, I'm about to put 32's on my truck and i was wondering how to go about getting it re calibrated. Do i have to take it to a shop or is it something simple that i can do?
