Windshield wipers stopped working,
I was out driving in the rain today and my wipers just stopped working. They were working fine and then they started to shudder. Now they just won't work.
I noticed that when i press the wiper button in to squirt windshield wiper fluid on the windshield, nothing comes out. When I turn the dial for the different speeds, nothing happens. I do hear a clicking sound every time I turn and press the windshield wiper dial. I also notice they every time I press and turn the dial the battery voltage meter goes down. I looked at the fuse diagram and there wasn't anything for the wipers. Help!
Thanks in advance.
Oh yeah some truck info, it's a 1987 ford f150 xlt lariat with a 5.0 engine.

In the first picture, I'm pointing to where I found the plastic screw that held the plastic box in lace. In the second picture I'm pointing to the box after I got it loose.
I cant see to well in those pics that little black plastic box is right over the top of the fuse box. If you take the ***** off the head light switch and wiper switch and then pull the trim pannel off. Then take out the wiper switch follow the wires from the wiper switch down to the little black plastic box thats your wiper module.
Yeah I gave that a try too and was able to pop the trim off, but couldn't get the ***** off. I tried twisting and pulling and still nothing. I also didn't see any screws holding the ***** on.

Oh yeah I saw that box. Mine wasn't located near the fuse box, it was actually in the engine bay on the driver's side toward the fire wall attached to the fender. Maybe my dad had it rewired and placed there or maybe that's just where it was stock. Thanks for the help! Turns out the wiper motor was bad and I just ended up taking to the closest Ford dealership earlier this morning to have it repaired. And they're done, so I can get my baby back when I pick it up tonight! I'm glad they still have parts in stock or ready at hand for these trucks.
Thanks everyone for all the help and for posting pictures.
