Default Windshield tips

I was wondering if anyone out there had any tips on deep cleaning my glass? It almost looks like a million little pits. Is there even anything I can short of changing the glass out?

it won't help pitting, but vinegar, applied with a scrub pad (one that is safe for non-stick cookware) will help remove water spots, which can sometimes make the pitting problem look worse.

you can also try some glass polishes, but they will not do a whole lot

I don't know how much their pricing varies regionally, but safelite quoted me $179 for a replacement on their website... check it out, might be better than wasting money on diy products

Deffinately replace the glass, you can never get it good enough to justify the cost and effort for a minor improvement of trying to fix it.

Do what I did for my old boss's F250, went to the scrap yard, used a saws all to cut out the a pillars and the front part of the roof of the truck and peeled them off the windshield, bought some window epoxy and slapped it in his.

All for 50$ cause the guy at the yard didn't think we could do it

Ya but i used to work as a roofer, so we did as roofers do... We unnecessarily improvise the simple things

Besides, all i had on hand was a claw hammer and a saws-all for sheet metal.

Exactly

With added satisfaction of cutting stuff up and over complicating things.
