Windsheild wipers work on one speed?
i have a 1987 ford f150 with a 302 When i turn my wipers on it only works on one speed and when you turn them off they stop where they were they dont go back to the starting position now is this the motor or is this something else i read about a timer a interval wiper switch and even a govener can someone please help me?
Thanks Tom
Thanks Tom
It's the interval governor. There's a thread about it somewhere. Remove it, open it up and inspect the components. The solder joints get weak and crack, but you can resolder them and it should work fine again. You shouldn't have to buy a new one. Just follow the wires to the switch down and you will find a little black box, that's the governor.
I could not find the govener i found this plug were the govener should be with a test plug in it. it is a 8 plug pin is this where the govener should be im not sure i read the artical already i just need to know if someone took the govener out and put this test socket in its place
on what side of the wiper switch if you were to be sitting in the car the left side toward the wall of the car and the light switch or the other side where the stearing colum is even so there shouldnt be a plug with wires jumping itself and reads test plug i will try to see what you are talking about.
