90 f150. dual tanks. whats the difference in the front and back fuel pumps? i can find the rear ones cheaper than the front ones. tryin to figure out what the difference is in the 2.

They're different...back is shorter. They're def not interchangeable.

The difference is the depth of the tank, you can't interchange them.

i figured as much. but some of the ones on ebay say they'll fit both tanks. whats the story on those?

Probably just the fuel pump, yes both tanks use the same pump. You don't just change the pump because of the other parts in the assembly that go bad. You need the fuel pump assembly.

ive been looking at complete assemblys. they still say they fit both tanks.

I've seen some assemblies that were spring loaded for different depth tanks.
