Size has nothing to do with rpm in a manual. Its a math formula plain and simple.

all you need to know is final drive in the 4 speed, which is 1:1, measured tire diameter ( not what is stamped on the sidewall), and guess the final drive.

Where is the tach pickup? Did your friend change the speedometer gear to match the ring and pinion?

You cannot compare your mustang to the F150 unless you compare both in 4th gear so it would still be 1:1 through the trans. The only way they would be different would be if one is an auto, then you have to account for converter slippage. Also, tire height makes all the difference in the world.

For example, any vehicle with an M5OD will work. Assume it came stock with 31" tires and 3.73 gears. And you want to put 33s on it and keep cruising RPMs the same 2400prm at 65mph, then you go up to 4.10s.

By that calculator, the truck would have to have a 6.50 gear ratio, maybe its time you see if its locked in 4low perhaps.
