Default pulling an axle

I've discovered that my right rear brake is grabbing, and after pulling the drum off I found that the seal has been leaking from the axle. How do I get the axle off? It's one of the few things I haven't ever done. This is on a 1989 f150.

I'm not sure how exactly it should be done at your truck. Generally - you have to unscrew 4 bolts holding axle and pull it out. Sometimes you have to remove some of rear brakes to get access.

Your truck should have an 8.8" axle which has c clips. Unfortunately you have to open up the rear differential and pop the z spring out to remove the c clip on the snout of the splined section of the axle. The its just a mallter of clearing the brake stuff out of the way and pulling it free.
